Help with Howli, the guided harmony singing app for iPhone. Find answers about purchases, song codes, recording and sharing.

Restore Howli Unlimited

If you have already purchased Howli Unlimited but the app asks you to upgrade:

  1. Check that you are using the same Apple Account for App Store purchases as when you bought it.
  2. Open Get Howli Unlimited at the bottom of Choose a song or My Songs.
  3. Tap Restore Purchases.

If your access is already active, use Manage Howli Unlimited from the same place. You can also manage or cancel an Apple subscription. Lifetime access is a one-time purchase.

If your access still does not appear, email us so we can help.

Import a song code

  1. Copy the complete Howli song code shared with you.
  2. Open Choose a song and paste it into Add Song Code.
  3. Check the song preview, then tap Sing it.

If the code is not accepted, check that you copied the whole code without surrounding text. Ask the sender for a fresh copy if needed.

To make your own, choose Write a song in Howli or use the free browser song editor.

Free practice and sharing

Built-in songs, Freestyle and imported song codes include 10 free completed takes per part each day. Songs you write from scratch in Howli have unlimited free practice on your iPhone.

Howli Unlimited removes the daily recording limit. Reaching the free limit leaves your saved takes, performance review, full-quality export, save and share available.

Recordings and permissions

If Howli cannot access your microphone or camera, check its permissions in iPhone Settings. You can sing without recording camera video.

Your saved recordings stay on your iPhone. Export any performances you want to keep before deleting the app. Read more in our privacy policy.
